Instagram is the most popular image sharing website by Facebook, and in most cases, it works well without any issue. But sometimes you may receive “Couldn’t Refresh Feed” error message. When you try to reload or refresh the feed, you will see Couldn’t Refresh Feed message on the screen and you can not do anything, but wait. 1. Network Connection
If your mobile can not connect to the network, that is the main reason. In this case, the first thing we should do is to check the network connection.
If you are using Data Connection, then check the connection. Also, make sure that WiFi is working properly. Sometimes a weak network signal can cause this issue.
Please confirm the connection state, which mobile data or WiFi signal is connected with, whether it is connected or not. By the way, even your cell phone shows that the network is connected, but if the signal of the network is weak, it may still be unable to update or refresh. Network connection overloaded.
Another reason is that many people are using one network simultaneously. For example, when watching a concert or a basketball game.
2. Re-launch Instagram App
After your network connection is confirmed to be good, you can exit and wait for seconds to relaunch Instagram App on iPhone or Android. Once you launch the App, you can go to check whether you can refresh the feed.
3. Restart Mobile
If you are still unable to refresh by the above ways, try to restart your phone. Perhaps there is some connection error by iOS and Android OS, because you hardly turn off your mobile. Sometimes restarting can fix some system bugs so you are supposed to have a try.
4. Update Instagram App
There are bugs which can cause problems in refreshing and updating in older versions of the Instagram application. If a new Android and iOS Instagram version is developed and updated to the latest version, it will be announced after resolving past bugs. You should update your Instagram on your iPhone or Android to reduce the bugs and errors.
After you has already installed the latest version of Instagram on the smartphone, if it can not fix it, try to delete Instagram application and then re-install it again. 6. Log in Instagram on Website
If you always fail to refresh feeds on Instagram application, you can try to sign in your account via website. You can launch a browser on your mobile phone or computer and log in Instagram. After signing in, you can refresh the feeds to see whether you are able to view the latest comments. If not, just check if there is anything wrong with the comments as we have mentioned in Tip #5.
7. Clear Instagram Caches
The caches and useless data would cause the issue “Instagram couldn’t refresh feed” as well. Clearing the Instagram caches and data is also a useful way to solve the problem.
To complete the clearing caches process, what you need to do is just to navigate to Settings> Application to display all the installed Apps on your Android phone. After that, you should locate Instagram from the listed applications and tap on it to enter the App Info page. On this page, you can see several options but you only need to tap on Clear cache and Clear data to clean the useless caches to make Instagram run smoothly and free up the device as well.
